Evangeline Vrettos Photo's
Evangeline Alfieris Vrettos (1915 - 2002) was born in Oakland, CA. She was the daughter of John & Maria Chlentzos Alfieris who were from Potamos and Christoforianika respectively. Angie and her husband Jim, were active members of the Kytherian Society of California.
Angie married James Konstantine Vrettos, from Athens, Greece in 1939. In 1955, he took his first trip back to Greece to visit his family in Athens. It would be the first trip to Greece for the rest of the family.
They flew by airplane to New York, where they visited the SHIP-A-HOY restaurant. From New York, they boarded the Greek Line Ship, the Olympia and arrived in Athens two weeks later.
